How can we make a better day every time you sit? We at Spaceform are committed in producing high quality, stylish and ergonomically designed seating to satisfy the demands that embrace physical and mental issues as well as the wider social working environment. This philosophy affects all processes. To be “better while sitting”, ergonomics become a significant aspect to guide the development of any of our products.

Ergonomics is much more than just good desks, seating and chairs. It’s about looking after the whole person and the sense of mental and physical balance. It is about the inter-relation between the individual, technology and the design of the entire workplace.

Planning space in the best way possible

We understand that a product is literally the support for your daily life whether at home or at the workplace. So planning an environment is about looking at the big picture: from selecting furniture and materials to looking at the way they sound and interact.

It is important to get the ergonomics right from the very beginning

A good ergonomic room planning is not defined by the size of the space, rather how to use the space most efficiently.

The better way when planning a space is to efficiently use all the area for the benefit of the user. Sometimes, even a small space can contribute to improved movement and interaction between people.

IS YOUR SPACE ADJUSTED TO YOU?

We are not all the same.

Male or female, old or young, tall or short, we all require different solutions to operate safely and efficiently.

A correct ergonomic workplace is about matching the required work tasks to the individual employee’s physical aptitudes. The person involved in a lot of computer work may need to sit differently to the person working in a reception area.

We do not all looked the same and had the same work tasks.

Knowledge of people and knowledge of tasks is about adjusting each workplace to the end user’s aptitudes.

SITTING IS
ABOUT MOVING

Who controls your chair?

Ergonomics requires movement and variation of working posture. Standing restores a natural spinal curvature, which is important after a period of sitting. Changing position from sitting to standing can also provide a new perspective of the task in hand. The product should follow the natural movements of the body. Sitting still for too long is not recommended. Be sure to have a product which is easy to adjust and follows your movements. Then vary your position frequently.

We consider the ergonomic design of every product and recognise the importance of the correct posture to general well-being.

ERGONOMICS ARE GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Well-being and performance are connected. Wellbeing and work performance are closely related.

Our ability to pursue the best designs has always gone hand in hand with specific ergonomic designs. A sofa or a chair always has to provide a dedicated relaxing and unwinding experience, for liaising and regaining a sense of mental and physical balance; for these reasons, we are profoundly convinced that finding the right balance between harmonious silhouettes that safeguard the right posture, materials and design is fundamental to appreciating a living room in full.
